The Role
The placement gave me a good start in sense of learning how a small fashion bussiness works and it definetly taught me new things.
Most of the time during my placement I spent with Dragana and another, more experienced intern. We became very close since the bussiness is quite small. The two of them helped me fill in the gaps I had in my knowledge. We worked closely together and overall it was a very enjoyable experience.
Whenever I was unsure of anything I was encouraged to ask for help, even if I had a million questions to ask.
It really depends on the day since the placement requires both work in the studio and in the shop. There was always something to work on. On bussier days the work was more focused on the shop and work with customers and on quieter days there was always something to do in the studio.
After a bit of time that took for me to get into the work routine and show I can be trusted, I was slowly given more and more resposibilities. Just a month or two later I was trusted with working with anything really and often worked the shifts alone in the shop (when circumstances required so).
I learnt stuff that I wasn't taught at uni so the new skills gained will definetly help in further education.
The Company
Again, depends on the day. The only times I felt meh was when working alone and the day was really quiet-no customers or a lot of work to do.
Mostly well. We worked quite alright and managed time quite good. Sometimes we would start chatting which would result in a longer shift (in order to finish what we were supposed to) .
I was given a tour on my first day and after that I just learned through work. As already mentioned, I was encouraged to ask questions and could ask for help even with my university work which has nothing to do with the placement.

Travel loan
My placement was supposed to be only 6 weeks but I enjoyed working there so I stayed a bit longer part-time. After that I was asked if I would come and help out when needed and if it fits within my uni schedule, as a part-time job. I ended up spending almost 7 months overall working in the bussiness and it was a great experience.
The Culture
I made two great friends-Dragana and the other intern I worked with and stayed in touch with both of them. We often went to dinners and events together after our work days.
It's London so it's not cheap, plus I live about an hour away from the bussines. Luckily, travel costs were covered. I don't socialise much (anxiety and stuff) so that saves me some money.
Can't answer that.
Probably yes since it's London, but again I am not the right person to ask this.
