About You
I really enjoyed the insight week with J.P. Morgan. We really got to have a taste of how it is to work at J.P Morgan and how the bank is structured. Several professionals across the different departments came to explain us what they do within the bank and answer all our questions. This allowed me to better understand what the bank does as well as what departments I would most enjoy to work in. To complement these presentations we also had networking sessions, self-development workshops and interactive case studies! Overall, I can say that it was a very fulfilling experience from which I will greatly benefit in the future.
I felt I was very valued during my time at the bank. Everything was very well organised and done in a way that interns would feel comfortable and happy. They really didn't wanted us to be stressed so there was no Assessment Center at the end of the week.
I think the guidance was great! They really recaped with us all the finance knowledge that is needed to take advantage of this week. Also, they encouraged us to ask all the questions we want, no matter how meaningless we think they might be. If you don't understand something it is ok to ask! They will explain it you from scratch if needed.
Thanks to this insight I was able to truly understand what an investment bank does. It was great to get a sense of how things really work in the real world. It was a fantastic way to complement the two finance modules I studied in my degree. More importantly, the skills we developed during the week such as building our own brand and learning how to present in public are crucial for us to become successful in future. These are new weapons that we can add to our skillset and that we will greatly benefit when entering the labour market.
The Company
The spring insight was extremely well organised. The HR team did a fantastic job structuring it. From the presentations to the networking sessions everything was on time and well planned. We always had toilet and coffee breaks that would help us digest the information received and comeback concentrated to the next events. Also, at the beginning of the week we received a fully detailed time table so we knew what we were going to do in each day of the week. During the week, everything occurred according to that timetable and no changes were made!
The atmosphere during the insight was good. The group was large and everyone was open minded and nice, which was cool. I met a lot of people during the week and I made good friends. Thanks to this week I was able to expand my network to other like minded students that come from all over the world. That's very exciting!
As I said, I think they did a great job, providing us with skills workshops and interactive case studies.
It was extremely helpfull as all the employees would refer to it and tell us why they where different from other banks.
