  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The placement was decent but one of the major flaws was that little description on what the role involves was given before you start and at recruitment stage.

  • Some of the tasks given to interns are essential to the team but it tends to be operational only.

  • Each intern is given a designated EPM to support them over the year.

  • It depends on the time of the year as workload tends to be quite seasonal

  • Quite a few, as you progress, you will be given more responsibility and possibility of owning projects.

  • Plenty of self-learning resources are available to IBMers and you can access it yourself

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It is very corporate and the culture is rather individualistic, very hierarchical company.

  • The placement is rather structured with regular reviews and EPM meeting, nonetheless roles tends to be a bit undefined and some might struggle.

  • Not a lot, there are rather limited training specific to interns and most tend to be career oriented only.
