The Role
Good placement with a variety of working options to build skills. Task managers are keen to get interns involved at all stages, however I do know of some interns who are very quiet.
There was a lot of opportunity for me to make a difference, so I have felt valued by my team. I have been rewarded through being able to join team members in a trip to Amsterdam and, hopefully, the US.
IBM has a very strong support system - with professional care being provided through EPM's and daily tasks being managed via a separate Task Manager. People were always on hand to help.
There were quiet periods, particularly at the start of the year, however it quickly ramped up.
Lots of responsibility, particularly on client site. I was allowed to help the client with a lot of queries and I didn't feel that everything I did/said needed checked - suggesting that I was trusted
I have learnt a lot of valuable skills and been given a really great opportunity for learning and gaining an insight into industry.
