About You
The insight program was a great way to learn about the different departments within the company and to get a feel of whether I could imagine myself working there.
KPMG treated me like an adult and I really felt part of the company for the time I was there, they particularly made effort to give us lunch allowances in the canteen which I thought was a nice gesture.
The guidance was brilliant, as the offices are large there was always someone to show candidates around. There were lots of employees who offered their contacts for further questions.
I learnt networking skills and found the ‘making an impact’ session really useful as it prepared me for the further interviews.
The Company
The insight days were really well planned, there were enough comfort breaks between the sessions and also a range of activities which kept the day varied.
The atmosphere was super friendly, everyone had a good time whilst learning a lot about the company. The majority of us have kept in contact after the insight program so it’s a great way to meet people!
The insight group were provided with multiple sessions which were aimed at our personal development, such as networking skills and how to add value to a business.
The second day of the insight program was a shadowing experience, where I was allowed to workshadow someone in the department of my choice. This was a great experience to figure out if KPMG was the right fit for me.
The culture was really evident in all of the activities and the people we were exposed to within the program. KPMG really values it’s people and all the employees I spoke to emphasised this.
The content of the first day was really useful as there was overviews/talks from of all the different departments in the company.
Everything Else
Paid the London living wage and reimbursed for travel.
At the end of the program there was a networking drinks event.
Networking was a good opportunity, as we were allowed to invite employees we had met during our time at KPMG.
I found out about the different societies present at KPMG, such as the ACN and the Sikh society.
Definitely - it’s a great experience!
