About You
The people chosen were amazing and going to the company was very cool however, there was a lack of organization and efficiency in the program and it could have been created to be more insightful. The program however did lead to a fast track option for the summer vacation scheme.
There was slight value, however I was very disappointed with the people that spoke to us apart from a few, many of them very like apprentice students doing the same as us which made it hard to figure out if this was something I wanted to get involved in and do.
There was a little guidance however the information given was different from various people so it was hard to make a more general consensus. I really valued the technology speed sessions where you got to interact with analysts and learn their works on a day to day basis which was useful.
I think we learnt quite a few case study skills which were really useful and also just the importance of technology and coding in the future generation. We also got a feel of the culture of the company and the importance of diversity and members within a company in making it grow.
The Company
There could have been more opportunities to interact with more senior members to learn about the opportunities you have and the career paths they've used. It was really sad that we didn't have any interactions with partners, vice presidents or directors, which would have really enhanced the experience making it more empowering.
Everyone was really excited to learn about everything and really on it in terms of gathering information which was nice. The atmosphere was positive and really friendly which was really refreshing and nice to be a part of. I think the creation of videos in the process was really good idea and ensured team work and good bonding with interns.
I think when you start working for them they have a lot of opportunities for improvement in personal group including those within the company like online university courses, gym facilities, two days was too short to see investment in us however it was clear there was investment within the company on growth.
This was well done as interacting with analysts and going through projects that some of them had been apart of was very insightful, you got a sense of the roles involved, the opportunities present such as traveling, movement and how the whole firm operated in general which was good and insightful.
The culture was really amazing from the few people we interacted with, they all were very involved and loved being part of the company. they had a very work hard play hard culture which was really good involving people putting in 100 percent and also doing stuff for themselves. I also loved the whole entrepreneurial aspect of the place.
To be really frank there wasn't too much information on consulting overall which was disappointing however I think it did give me a few ideas on what to expect and a good insight into tech which was really nice to understand and hear about through different peoples experiences and career paths.
Everything Else
We had a networking dinner and the lunches were networking which was helpful but not many employees came. The networking dinner was very fancy and the food was really good however the set up prevented a lot of networking from taking place, these things could have been changed to actually cater for networking.
Yes, this was really well portrayed which was amazing, it was very insightful to know all the good work the company does and the good things you can get involved in. There were activities ranging from health and exercise to charity and sport, which was really positive and nice to know was offered.
I think I would if you have time and would like to learn little about consulting however I was disappointed with the lack of information and disorganization within the program making it very hard to get certain information but overall I would recommend it to someone interested in consulting as its the best way to get more information.
