Spring into Deloitte Review

To a larger extent I enjoyed the insight. I have learnt many new skills from body language to team work. Also, I now feel knowledgeable about the industry sector and where I want to take my career from here. The company was very welcoming a and I look back on my time with happiness

I feel like my time was appreciated and that not only did they want to provide and insight into the company itself to us, but also the industry area. This gave plenty of information for myself to go home and think about future careers. Any ideas were listened to and developed by colleagues

Plenty of guidance during sessions from professionals at Deloitte. During the challenge tasks they were able to not only provide insight, but to also explain how this relates to the real job they do. More guidance could have maybe been given with the vlog project as to how they wanted it done more specifically

I have learnt skills for life. The guest speaker session on body language was fascinating and I feel much more knowledgeable about how to present myself in a professional environment. Also, the challenges has made myself feel more confident to present my ideas to strangers and work together as part of a team as well

Unfortunate, on the first day due to travel, the partner question and answer session had to be cancelled. This then led to slight confusion over how to proceed and fill the time. Other than that, the time was generally well structured, the only recommendation would be to fill the last day more as we finished early

The atmosphere was generally excellent, high levels of enthusiasm from everybody there, where we were all keen to learn and gain as much from the experience as possible. Furthermore, the same atmosphere could be seen at the networking dinner, where consultants were happy to speak and share their experiences of the company with us

As the programme was only a two day insight, training was obviously limited. The opportunity to fast track onto a summer vacation scheme was offered, showing the company clearly invest in their talent and want to them to progress through the business from an early stage, even though we had only been there for a short amount of time

I now understand the work life balance that needs to be achieved as an employee and that what effort is out in will be rewarded. The nature if the work, although hard at points, is interesting and will never become boring. I can see a clear career progression for myself in the future

The diversity and inclusion session clearly showed the culture of the company in striving to educate staff both current and new. Also, it became clear how to company wants to be at the forefront of innovation within its industry with many programmes available to staff with and idea they want to pursue

Staff were honest and encouraging about the technology career path within Deloitte. The whole programme helped show what day to day tasks would include and that not all technology careers require and technology background in coding etc. The benefits were clear as to why Deloitte is a great company to work for

Perfect opportunities for networking. We had a networking dinner on the first night where staff were distributed evenly and they was ample opportunity to interact and understand what they thought about their job as well as get to know the person. Overall, perfect opportunity to network during the daily sessions as well as in the evening

Good in regards to the clear seating plan and structure to meet people, this will have helped nervous students. I feel there needed to be more circulation of staff so I could meet everybody there, although I understand this is hard to do as you don’t move tables when eating a meal
