About You
I enjoyed this insight week a lot due to the varied programme offered. The week included various presentations, work shadowing, team activities and many networking opportunities meaning every day during the insight was different.
I felt very valued during the week at J.P. Morgan. The week was well set out and we were presented with many opportunities to speak to employees. Everyday we were provided with breakfast and lunch and some evenings social events were set up.
We received a lot support, especially during coding challenges where there was a mix of abilities and not everyone had a computer science background. During the activities there were many mentors who supported us and helped us through any problems we encountered.
I have gained a real insight into coding and therefore would like to apply the skills learnt during the week to my future career opportunities. Also, many networking skills were obtained during workshops which will be very useful to implement when attending job interviews in the future.
The Company
Very well structured with every day being varied and packed full of activities.
The atmosphere was very positive and everyone on the technology insight week bonded instantly. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, enabling us to push ourselves to the best of our abilities during the tasks.
They invested a lot by asking each of where our interests lay within the company and how we were finding the week at various points during the insight.
From the various talks and networking sessions I had the opportunity to ask as many questions as I wanted enabling me to understand what it would be like to have a job at J.P. Morgan and better understand their culture.
It helped a lot to understand the culture and there was a lot of networking to enable us to ask as many questions to current employees as we wanted.
Very helpful (work shadowing various departments, networking, workshops, presentations and social events in the evening).
Everything Else
Reimbursement of expenses was fast and swift reflecting the professionalism of the company.
Many opportunities each day for networking and certain evenings laid out just for that.
Very enjoyable and well structured. I had the opportunity to better know my peers on the insight week as well as graduates who had recently joined the technology schemes.
Yes I did. There are many opportunities such as volunteering, sports, music etc.
I would definitely recommend this insight to a friend as it was varied with lots of activities.
