About You
I really enjoyed my week with JP Morgan and it gave me a great insight into the company as well as into the Finance industry as a whole!
The program was very well organized and we had several networking events where I really felt that the employees we spoke to, no matter of their level of seniority, had an interest in us and saw as potential colleagues.
We received a lot of support and guidance during the week. We had several financial classes and we were guided on how to practice for the upcoming interviews and how we could improve our knowledge within Finance.
As an engineering student I think that the skills I developed will come to use during my studies to some extent but more importantly they will help me a lot during my future career.
The Company
It was very well structured and organized.
It was great! People were very nice and the atmosphere was not as competitive as I imagined.
The firm really invested in us and we were given quality financial training, networking sessions with senior people, etc.
It gave me a great insight but I still think the only way to really understand the firm is to spend a longer time there, for example through a summer internship.
It helped me understand the culture but it would have given me an even better insight if we would have spent longer time with a few people, for example at a dinner, in that way the conversation would have been more relaxed.
It was very helpful and I am now eager to apply for the summer internship and pursue a career within finance.
Everything Else
It was an unpaid internship but we received breakfast and lunch everyday as well as accommodation and transportation to the office.
Yes, we had several networking events with people from different divisions and seniority levels.
They were great. As I mentioned before the only thing I feel that could have been improved is that it could have been nice to have one longer dinner talking to the same people in order to make the atmosphere a bit more relaxed.
Yes, there was a presentation on the different things you can get involved in.
For sure!
