About You
I really enjoyed the insight. The talks we attended were interesting and I learnt many things from them, I discovered a lot of things about nowadays technology. Also, the workshops we had were inspiring and the environment was good. The time there went so fast! I recommend the experience to all kind of students.
I felt that the people in the company really cared about us. They appreciate that we want to know about them and they are always ready to answer as many questions as you have. There is a good environment in the company that helps to enjoy the week. I learnt that they appreciate ideas from all minds, even from the youngests.
People from the company that were working with us during the week, were really suportive, patient and friendly, I felt comfortable there. They gave us a lot of support and they were always willing to help in situations such as future applications or things you want to know about the company.
The experience helped me to learn new things about my transferable skils as well as IT skills. It helped me to discover what things that I want to learn more about and this can be useful for my degree studies. Moreover, I can apply my learning on transferable skills to future jobs or even my studies too.
The Company
The insight is well strucutred. We had different types of activities, all of them were inspiring and interesting, and well distributed through the week. I spent a lot of hours of the week there but it was always a good time and we had also time to have a break and just chat with the other collegues.
The general atmosphere during the insight was really good. I met amazing people with whom I have interests in common. Also, I think that they work a lot to achieve a great week and they are aware of the value that young minds have. Also, I appreciate that they accept all kind of people and backgrounds, that makes the company more interesting!
They invest as much as you can invest in five days but, it was a lot. They dedicate a lot of resources to create and amazing week. I learn a lot of things that can help me both in my personal life and my career, so they offer teach useful things for personal training and development.
The insight helped me a lot to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company. We had work shadowing time that was really useful for that. Also, I learnt about their internshps, graduate programms and the activities they organise, so I understood how the company works.
The insight helped me to understand their company culture. The appreciate learning, diversity and support. They are a big community and I could see that. They have a lot of clubs and activities and everyone working there take part on them and appreciate that they have these kind of things.
I do not have a final decision about my future career path but, it helped me to know how this company works and what kind of environment I could find working there and also, it helped me to learn about business techonology. I also learn things that could change my career path.
Everything Else
I have been reimbursed my travel expenses because I had to take the train in the mornings. Also, we had some breakfast, lunch every day and even some dinners. Moreover, my collegues who travelled from other cities had a room in a hotel and they had been reimbursed for food expenses they had.
There were a lot of opportunities for networking and meeting other employeed of the company. They even helped in some of our workshops. We were able to meet from graduates to executive directors. They were all really interesting and friendly people who answered all our questions. We had good opportunities for networking.
All networking and social events were great. I think that they are aware of how important is socialising and having a good community. We really enjoyed the events and we had really good opportunities to meet people from the company and have interesting chats with them in a more informal environment.
I have already mentioned this in other comments but, yes, I found out about a lot of activities that employees can get involved outside work. They have a big communitiy of clubs and activities where they can get involved with people who have the same interests. They take care of the community and enjoy it.
I would recommend this insight to a friend and to everyone, it does not matter your studies backgraound. You just need a big interest on technology, innovation and learning. I would encourage all students that have bit of courisity for the company to apply for the insight week, they will enjoy it.
