About You
It was an enjoyable and informative insight week. It helped us experience the work culture and atmosphere at the company. The activities conducted were well planned out and engaging while also managing to teach us about the strategies used at the firm. Also got to meet many people from the firm and other universities too.
I found it very amazing that they payed a lot of attention to the perspective of each and every student. They managed to make each one of us feel valued and expressed how our contribution and feedback mattered a lot. They were also very helpful with any assistance required.
It was amazing to see how professionally the entire Spring Insight week was conducted. We received clear instructions at each and every step of the way and had information on who to contact for any sort of problem we might face. Everyone at the firm was polite and helpful in every way they could be.
The skills we developed in this week were mainly the agile and scrum strategy of working on projects. I feel these are emerging practices that provide with a good understanding of how firms work. Having learned about them during the week, we can now implement them at university level which helps us adapt to them.
The Company
I found all the activities to be well planned. They each had a purpose and each had their own unique challenge. There was a balance between the information being provided and the understanding and retention capacity of the students. It was also evident that a lot of effort had been put into organising this event.
The general atmosphere during the Spring Insight week was very helpful and welcoming. Everyone was happy to help us with any question or problem we may have. They were all very approachable, which made it easier for us to gain knowledge about the workings of the firm. They were also very good at answering our questions.
I felt that the company has invested quite heavily in trying to find the best talent and training them. It has a very structured program in place that helps us learn skills relevant to the working environment of the firm. It seemed evident that the firm wants its employees to grow and will invest heavily to this effect.
The Spring Insight week at J.P.Morgan was very informative in showing us what it would be like to have a full time role with the company. The work shadowing helped us understand the different roles in the company and what their responsibilities are. Our interactions with the people working at the firm were also very helpful.
I feel the Spring Insight week helped us experience the work culture at the firm. The spirit of team work and helpfulness was clearly evident in all our interactions with the employees of the company. It gave us a very realistic peek into the work ethos followed at the firm.
I found that the Spring Insight week was a very good way of learning about the firm. I think that it is one of the major factors that is going to help me decide the firm that I want to apply to, to work at in the future. This insight was a great success and has already convinced me that I would like to work at J.P.Morgan.
Everything Else
We were reimbursed for all our travel and accommodation expenses. However it would have been helpful to know that our food (the meals not provided by the firm) would also be reimbursed provided we have the receipts. In today's day and age, very few people tend to get receipts and maintain them.
There were plenty of opportunities to network and meet with employees of the firm. There were two social events that were a good way of getting to know not only the employees of the firm but also the other students attending the Spring Insight week. The work shadowing also helped with this.
The networking opportunities were amazing as we got to meet people from various departments and work hierarchy. It was very nice to be able to talk to people from different departments as this helped us realize the many roles available at the firm. The social events also helped us meet the other students taking part in the event.
We were told about all the different activities that take place at the from that employees can get involved in. It was nice to know that there more than work that team members collaborate on.
I would definitely recommend this Spring Insight week to a friend.
