  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I thoroughly enjoyed my time over the few days I spent at KPMG. It was an a great time to explore all the different areas of business at the company and also network with employees

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • The organisers were very friendly and supportive, while all the employees I interacted with were willing to answer numerous questions

    • As the programme gave an opportunity for students to interview for a graduate programme, there was significant support in giving tips for how to behave in the group exercise and what to mention in interviews

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • The process let me personally see that Management Consultancy really was an avenue I wanted to pursue

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • It was very well structured but my only feedback would be to ensure all students have an employee to work shadow

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • It was amazing seeing so many other black, talented, ambitious and like-minded individuals on the programme who were all supportive and helpful throughout

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • There were numerous individuals, from senior to junior, who came in and gave us talks on their roles at KPMG. Additionally, skills sessions on networking and your personal brand were delivered, that helped for the final day at the networking drinks

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • The work shadow day allowed us to follow individuals in the areas we had opted for and ask them as many questions as possible. I found it really useful and gave you an opportunity to discover what the role really was like

    • KPMG are a very inclusive and collaborative firm, who I'm looking forward to working for

    • I managed to obtain a Management Consultancy Graduate programme through this insight!

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?

    • The networking drinks on the final day were very laid back and gave us an opportunity to see some of the individuals we shadowed on the previous day, which was nice

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

    • Not as much, but employees did stress KPMG's focus on maintaining a work-life balance
