About You
I really enjoyed my time during the BP female discovery week. It is a four days programme. I get to know more about the company as well as the job itself. I got to visit their site in Aberdeen as well as Sunbury, which is fantastic. I am really looking forward to apply job in BP.
I really feel valued during my time at BP. All the staffs are very nice and friendly. I’ve got the opportunity for a lunch and dinner networking during my time in BP, which is quite casual. I get to know more about the company, can ask any questions I would like to know. And it feels like BP is a really supportive and welcoming environment.
BP gave a huge guidance and support during my four days insight. I have learned so much during my time there. All the staffs are friendly and approachable. The answers to the questions regarding the company or the jobs that I asked is really helpful, and really help me to get to know more about BP
I have developed the presentation skill, communication skill, and team-working skill during my time in BP. Two days in Aberdeen also give me a sufficient information what wells are and what working in wells will be in the future. I also joined several talks by successful women, which is really inspiring. Joining this programme really help me to drive my future career.
The Company
The female discovery week programme provided by BP is quite well structured. It is a four days programme. The first day was talk, seminar, and workshop in Sunbury site. As I choose chemical engineering as my degree, I get to visit their site in Aberdeen for 2 days to get to know more about the job (wells). And the last day is in Sunbury site.
During the female discovery week in BP, I feel that BP is a really fun environment. I don’t feel like it is a stressful environment to work in. A lot of friendly and supportive staffs are ready to help you and provide you with anything that you need. I am looking forward to apply job in BP as I really like the general atmosphere.
During my time in the female discovery week programme in BP, I feel like this programme really allows me to gain information about what is well and what it is roughly to work in BP especially in wells. However, it would be better if BP can actually arrange time for us to actually jump into the real work so that we know better how does it feel to work in BP, instead of just from the information we heard
During my time in the female discovery week programme in BP, I feel like this programme also allows me to get to know better about the company culture. BP has a really supporting and very friendly environment. And working in BP is really flexible. And most importantly safety is BP’s main considerations.
During my time in the female discovery week programme in BP, I feel like this programme really allows me to gain information about what is well and what it is roughly to work in BP especially in wells. However, it would be better if BP can actually arrange time for us to actually jump into the real work so that we know better how does it feel to work in BP, instead of just from the information we heard. But overall i feel like the content provided during my days in BP is amazing.
Everything Else
I was paid 27K pro rata for my time in the BP female discovery week, which I would say it is a decent amount. In addition to that, all travel expenses can be reimbursed. Accommodation (hotel) and food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are also provided by BP. Not to mention any additional food provided during breaks.
During my four days in the female discovery week in BP, I have attended plenty networking opportunities. Everyday I get to meet the current employees, to ask any questions that I would like. A dinner with recent graduate that joined BP was arranged in the first day. On the second day, a dinner with the VP, manager, as well as with other staffs in wells was also arranged. On the third day, casual lunch with recent engineering graduate was also arranged. There are a lot of opportunities to network with the friendly staff in BP
In addition to the amount of networking opportunity provided by BP, every networking events were perfect and extremely helpful. I get to ask a lot of questions to different people in BP. The networking events were arranged in a casual way, and therefore it makes me really comfortable and feel like it is a really meaningful opportunity.
