About You
It was really insightful and fun. We got the opportunity to try out different challenges (while learning something about different divisions), solving problems and giving out strategies as a technology consultant, talked to current employees from different positions and networking with many amazing new people. I learned a lot about this company and its culture.
I always feel very valued during my time in the Spring into Deloitte event. The event is very well planned, everyone that I have met was super nice and they were very patient and helpful when we have any question. We were taken very good care of during the event.
I received a great amount of support during the insight event. While solving the challenges, there were mentors who came over, asked us how we were doing and giving us advice. Also, when we asked about recruitment information, they were more than happy to help and answered our questions very patiently.
During my time in the event, I had an insight into the work a technology constant do on a daily basis, learned a lot about the company culture. Hearing from current employees with different backgrounds really gives me an idea of what working in Deloitte will be like, and how I can fit into the company.
The Company
At the beginning of the event, we were given the agenda for the whole two days and all the slides that they will talk through, which really helped me to have a clear mind of what's going on. In terms of the activities, it was a good mixture of fun challenges and informative talks.
It was very fun and chill. I got the opportunity to meet so many amazing people from different universities and backgrounds, exchanged ideas and learning from each other. All the staff was very nice, approachable and helpful too. They even arranged a networking dinner for us to socialize and have fun.
Since I am there as a spring insight inern, there wasn't formal personal training involved. But from what I hear, the company is really supportive when it comes to training and development. If you thinking learning a new skill will be beneficial to your future work, raise it and there's a big chance that it will be approved.
We were very lucky to talk to many current employees in different divisions, and they were all so generous and honest while we ask questions about working time, what's your day-to-day work like and so on. This gives me a very rounded and deep understanding of what it would be like to have a full-time role with the company.
Through the talks on diversity and talking to different people from different positions, I can feel the diverse, inclusive and supportive environment they have.
It was extremely useful. There was a challenge about working as a technology consultant and come up with a strategy to help the client, and this activity made me realize how much I enjoy doing work like this, and almost immediately, I decided that this might be my future career path.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed expenses, and the company also covered our accommodation and provided refreshments throughout the day.
Yes, there was a networking dinner arranged and during the event, we managed to talk to many current employees.
It was awesome, and since they arranged a social dinner rather than a formal talk, it was far more relaxed and we were definitely more active.
Yes. We were introduced about their volunteering opportunities and I was very excited about this. There is a project called 'One Million Futures' that aims to help one million people get to where they want to be, and we can help in so many areas including teaching, sharing experiences and giving them advice.
Yes definitely, especially for friends who are interested in this company and want to know more.
