The Role
The placement was enjoyable but there was not much opportunity to get to know the colleagues or others on the vacation scheme.
On occasion I felt like I did not really know the others on my vacation scheme very well.
I felt supported during the tasks and was able to ask the trainees when I had difficulties,
I was fairly busy most days of the vacation scheme but there was not too much work that I felt very overwhelmed.
I felt like my work had an impact but the work was never reviewed so whilst I was given real responsibility and tasks to complete I never found out whether my work was valid or useful.
I developed useful skills because I did activities that I had never completed before, such as drafting a witness statement.
The Company
Everyone was very friendly with their colleagues.
When I was on the placement it was not always clear or what work I was supposed to be conducting.
The company did not invest in my training or development.
Not very appealing as it was unclear whether current trannies would retain their jobs upon qualification.
The Culture
The vacation scheme students had to organise their own social activities.
I commuted from home so I cannot comment.
There was a bar right next to the offices.
I was invited to the Summer party but that was only because the activity feel within the scheme.
