The Role
My placement was enjoyable. The people in my department and the wider business were very friendly, engaging and welcoming. Furthermore, the department I worked in was newly developed and constantly growing.
My team took me in straight away and I have always felt part of the team. Furthermore, I received great feedback from my colleagues about my work both praising my work and constructive points which helped me to develop
My manager supported me so much with my work, learning about the business and my personal development. My manager was very knowledgeable and was able to help me whenever I got stuck with work.
The placement work started a little slowly picking up tasks here and their. However, once I got into the placement role and understood the business more I had a good amount of work to do, that kept me busy but didn't not overload me.
During my placement I was given a large amount of responsibility for my own projects, being allowed to completely manage my time and goals for the project. However, it was good that I was not fully left on my own and could always rely on my manager and team to help me if I needed.
During my placement I received training on how to use a range of systems such as SAP. Furthermore, through the tasks I worked on my Excel and Publisher Skills as well as planning and development skills. This will help in my degree as it will allow me to utilize software to better express my dissertation work and increase my employability.
The Company
My department had a very positive atmosphere. Everyone got along and had a joint desire to succeed, this lead to large amounts of collaboration between colleagues. Furthermore, a positive atmosphere in the office was supported by plenty of fun social events outside of the office.
I think the undergrad community was well organized with regular meetings so that everyone can share their experiences. However, the organization between the placement organizers and the functions could be improved.
The company invested greatly in my skills by spending me on courses which were paid for my the company such as SAP financial training.

Future employment is available in regular roles. Furthermore a grad scheme is also available offering a wide rang of training and experience is varying departments across the business with rotations available allowing employees to experience multiple sectors of the business.
The Culture
Yes, always had lunch together and went out for meals at charismas time and other key times. Furthermore, regular community days allowed the undergrads to come across from the different sites and have a fun day of learning and development.
Fairly cheap for living, food and other activates. Plenty of opportunities to join sporting clubs in Coventry.
Fairly good, Coventry is a cheap night out as it has two unis. However, Birmingham is not far away with cheap train travel and is a good night out with lots more activities to do.
A few sporting activates.
