The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year at Hays, I found the work enjoyable and was always kept busy with something. The staff are all friendly and welcoming also , so it was easy to get settled in.
I definitely felt valued by each of my colleagues, interns are given an equal level of responsibility so you don't feel any different to anyone else in the office and always feel valued by your team and the wider office.
I found my manager very supportive, they were always there to answer any query or question I had and were never too busy to make time for me if I had something I needed guidance or support on.
I was always kept busy in my role every day, there was always something to do. Each day went in very quickly due to the fact I was busy so I enjoyed this aspect of my placement!
Interns are given the same responsibility as other consultants in the office and are equally valued, this is a great experience and the level of responsibility you are given is much more than the majority of student placements.
I feel the skills and experience I have gained will greatly help me going back into my final year of studies and also going back into the workplace in the future. The training you are provided at Hays is top class, with each intern getting the opportunity to travel to England for training.
