The Role
The work itself wasn't hard at all, it was just very repetitive and anyone who can read a sales report and use Excel would be able to intern for the company.
On my very first day, barely anyone introduces themselves to me. No one says hi, expect interns to other interns.
No support, no guidance at all; Every morning i was handed in a pile of paper and i was told to copy what's on the paper onto the computer.
Working hours were good I must say. 10-6. Not really busy, not really pressured at all. None of your departments colleagues would check on your work or your progress...
None at all; it was more like a machine's work, receptive, and boring; you don't see the end of the task.
I learned more by watching tutorials at home after a day at work than being at work with my colleagues.
The Company
I would say cordial, just because full time staff say hi to each other.
No organisation at all, you don not know who is your line manager, you are not told who works in wha-ice department, it is a complete mess.
None; i felt like i was transparent in the whole office.
I would never want to get a job there, and I'm wondering how come permanent staff have not resigned yet ?
The Culture
No, cause we were not really working in the same department, and we barely had time to talk if we bumped into each other in the kitchen.
It's pretty affordable
Lots of things to do in East London, grab drinks by the canal with your friends, or walk to dalton to have some tapas and beers !
No social events were organised by the company; but luckily my friends lived close by.
