The Role
Renault Trucks is a fantastic company to work for with a culture that is employee focused this meant I enjoyed each day working for the company.
Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. Colleagues valued my insight and work, which created a great atmosphere to work in.
My manager allowed me to develop at a pace that suited me. This meant I never felt like I was a burden or did not have enough to do..
If there was a quiet period regarding my day to day tasks I would be brought into new areas of the business meaning that I always had something to do.
I was treated as any other employee at the company and became involved in important projects and initiatives where my insight was valued and ultimately used during the project.
Working for Renault Trucks has given me a key insight into working for a large organisation. With this insight it will definitely make finding a job post graduation much easier and also it has given me plenty to talk about in my dissertation.
The Company
It was a very friendly place to be, everyone was happy to talk to you and went out their way to help.
The company has had internship roles for a number of years so the organisation was very slick with most things being considered in advanced.
Volvo Group (the company that owns Renault Trucks) are big on investing in training and development and there is as much training available as you want.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Although there is no graduate scheme the company looks favorably on previous employees when applying for advertised roles.
The Culture
There are plenty of other interns around so this means it is easy to make friends and have a social life with them outside of work.
Leamington Spa and Warwick have expensive living costs but Coventry is within driving distance and it is a bit cheaper there
Leamington Spa and Coventry both have good nightlifes
This is not something it I was interested in so it might be unfair for me to say as I did not go looking for it.
