The Role
Enjoyable but bad location
Very Valuable. Completed important work released to large companies.
Help available when asked for but initial training was poor
busier towards the end of the placement when I was more useful.
Completed important work released to large companies
Useful for a job in software development perhaps less so for an engineer
The Company
Very posititve. No blame culture and very supportive colleageues.
The intial training was poor. But afterwards you are treated as a normal employee.
Large allocation of time for personal development and interns were also taken on business trips. ie to Lyon France
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Small sized company so fewer positions
The Culture
4 fellow interns all very nice.
Northampton is an unlively city for a student making it difficult to do fun activities outside of work.
There are clubs in Northampton if you are desperate.
There are opportunities if you look hard. Milton Keynes is nearby and has good activities ie Rock Climbing and water sports.
