  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I really enjoyed it. I was given a lot of work and gained valuable experience.

    • I felt valued and the that the work that I produced was appreciated.

    • We were given a lot of support, particularly from the trainee solicitors and HR.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I have developed a lot of skills during this process. The most notable was negotiation skills as we had a full exercise on this. Negotiation skills are very useful in a career as a lawyer and amongst most other professions.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • The whole process was well structured and well thought out. There was activities to get involved in most days as well as time to work in the office and with a range of professionals.

    • Great. Everyone was friendly and helpful throughout the vacation scheme from Partners to everyone else involved.

    • The firm invested a lot of time, ensuring that everyone learnt from the experience and developed as a result

    • It was extremely beneficial in understanding what the role would entail.

    • Again this was very helpful as we were exposed to the culture of the firm and how they operate from the get go.

    • This was extremely valuable and I aim to progress with the firm and hopefully have a long career with the firm.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the firm. I would recommend the firm to others wanting to do a vacation scheme.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Yes there was a lot of opportunities to network, with a number of social events/activities during the week.

    • They were very useful and we were able to meet a range of professionals in varied job roles.

    • Yes we had a Q&A with trainees and were able to discuss this at length
