The Role
Very varied work in my particular department, was nothing to do with my course but the amount of experience you get ins incredible.
There is a lot of work to be done and some can go unnoticed especially the admin type work (SAP, chasing people up, etc.) Sometimes feel valued other times feel like iv done days of work on something and the focus will be on an aspect that hasn't yet been completed, or can work on something for a while then only discuss it with manager for 3 minutes. At the end of the day the value comes in terms of wages and a good CV.
Great support - sometimes its hard to know the right person to speak to - and different departments will contradict one another so there can sometimes be a lot of back and forth without feeling like proper progress has been made - however everyone is very friendly and goes above and beyond when it comes to helping an intern.
Really if you want to keep up with things and keep all the plates spinning (and be able to answer questions about any given project at any given time) you need to stay in at least an hour extra each day, there is a lot going on!
LOTS ! Its great.
immeasurably, I have learned so much in my time here.
The Company
Some big teams some small teams, everyone's very friendly, few clicky people but were here to work.
The company makes vast amounts of money, and grows fast, not to say everything in there is perfect - its not! there can be a lot of back and forth, iterations on goals and projects, you will find out some projects were not worth it and did not really help the company - its manufacturing so there's always room for improvement.
7 Habits of highly motivated people training, business influencing training, career anchor training, crane training, fork lift training, stress and resilience training.
