The Role
I enjoyed the year, had a range of different tasks to complete and learnt a lot of new skills
I feel very valued by my team and by the end of the placement felt very much an important member
Everyone in my team was very helpful, the managers were always there to answer any questions as well as everyone else
It varied day to day, some days were quieter than others but that depended on the amount of requests my team recieved
I was given more responsibility than expected, having development tasks as early as 3 month into the placement, which set me up well for the rest of the year
Most of the skills will b eused at uni and my idea for my final project came from work I completed for my team
The Company
IT at Nissan had a few low points this year so the general atmosphere wasn't great although everyone did their best to keep spirits high
Very well, I always knew what I was doing and felt like I could ask for any information on the placement
There wasn't a lot of opportunities for qualifications etc due to the money situation in IT however there were lots of courses available, as well as a 2 week softawre course at the start of the placement and a couple of day courses throughout the year.
