The Role
I enjoyed my work placement as I was always kept busy and had things to do that challenged me!
My team were excellent. Completely welcoming and always made me feel comfortable and valued
I had quarterly meetings with my Early Professional Manager who helped me with progress in my job role, and constant guidance and support from my task manager.
I always found new projects to work on while I was at IBM. Frequently busy, however if I had not sought out the projects, I may have been less so.
In my daily role I didnt have a large amount of responsibility, however in the extra projects I got involved in I was given a large amount of responsibility for multiple clients
The skills I gained are definitely skills for life. Communication with clients and colleagues is a skill I will always take with me, as well as being able to work effectively in a team.
The Company
The office I worked in was fairly quiet
It was generally very well organized. However, I think more meetings with the other interns would have been great, to develop our relationships further
I was able to visit several events and had many chances to learn new skills and go on new courses
