About You
A great combination of challenging work and friendly people. My welcoming supervisors were very good at allocating level appropriate work.
I was able to get involved with active matters and I felt like my suggestions were being taken seriously.
My supervisors took the time to explain the relevant legal and commercial points behind the tasks I was given.
I was able to apply and develop my professional legal skills.
The Company
I always knew what I was doing and where I needed to be. The only thing that would have been better was if all of the practice area introductory talks were before the assessment day.
It was relaxed yet professional, and the graduate recruitment team were fantastic at looking after us during the stressful periods!
My supervisors took time to ensure that I was taking valuable lessons away from each task or activity. The graduate recruitment team also organised sessions to focus on practical skills.
Through getting in involved with trainee tasks I felt like I received a very good insight into what a permanent role would be like.
I felt like I really got to know the people that I worked with, and gained a personal understanding of the firm's culture.
I was already set on practising law, but this experience was definitely confirmatory.
Everything Else
There were plenty of opportunities, however I would have valued a chance to meet more senior lawyers from other practice groups.
Very informative and laid-back.
Yes - and we were actively encouraged to get involved during our time there.
I absolutely would.
