The Role
The job role I joined was perfectly suited to me, allowing to extend my knowledge of the business and succeed in a responsible role.
I felt valued by my direct managers and peers as they acknowledged the way I expressed my work ethic and skill sets, valuing me in different aspects in my job role.
My managers worked alongside me throughout my placement and allowed for me to develop on skills required for my job role. Not only this, but specialists and others whom I worked on projects with allowed me to learn multi-functional skills and knowledge for other job roles and the businesses products.
My managers gave me an array of opportunities that allowed for me to get involved in a number of different projects in and outside of my job role. They believe this gives me the best exposure to an engineering business and what it is like to work for an engineering company.
With the variety of projects I got involved in some required different levels of urgency and reporting. I was given projects I managed myself, projects where I was a resource or projects I solely worked on my own.
The on-the-job skills I have learnt will most definitely be used throughout my life time - in a related job or not. It has paved my way for an engineering job role yet the communicational and personal skills learnt whilst being in the business will allow me to excel in areas I was before weak in.
The Company
I personally approved of the office lifestyle - something new I had no experienced before. You make the experience your own and working alongside so many people allows for you to develop in so many different ways.
I approve of the idea of making you own opportunities and your managers can assist with that as expected, yet there was not a direct set plan for the placement - this was my initial assessment.
The firm did invest in training programs and they are very suitable to learn more about the business's products and personal development techniques. Siemens is said to have an excellent IDP, yet this is dependent on the individual business situation.

Working from home
I am very much interested in the industry yet the situation of the Siemens business I attended shows difficultly in securing a graduate scheme/job following university/graduate scheme.
The Culture
Yes! A great social scene between all the interns particularly, even socials with colleagues within the business too.
The area my business is situated is an affordable area.
