About You
The scheme was really enjoyable. There was a great range of opportunities, whether that be related to work, networking, or social events.
I felt very much valued in my time at Taylor Wessing. Anyone whom I interacted with was very generous with their time, and genuinely interested in helping me to develop.
I received a lot of guidance and support. The buddy and supervisor system worked really effectively to help me settle in at the firm. In all the work I did I felt confident that I could complete the task because of the support offered.
The key skill which I developed was my ability to work in a professional environment. I feel that this will be really important going into the future, when I move into the professional world. The legal research skills which I learnt will also be helpful during my University degree.
The Company
The Vacation Scheme was very well structured. There were timetabled events almost everyday, which kept us busy and made sure we stayed organised ourselves. Also, the use of ‘Focus On’ sessions provided us with an insight into different departments across the firm, and gave us a platform through which we could contact lawyers throughout the firm.
The general atmosphere was really welcoming and enjoyable. The staff at the firm always had a positive attitude, which helped this to be the case. Also, the other people on the Vacation Scheme were really easy to get along with, which made it even more enjoyable.
The firm made a real effort to help me to develop. The level of work which I received was more challenging than I expected from a 2-week Scheme. By pushing me with this work, I feel I developed.
The Scheme gave me a really good insight into life as a lawyer at Taylor Wessing. This is because of the variety of people which I was exposed to, which gave me a well-rounded view of the firm.
The Scheme gave a great insight into the firm’s culture. The people which I met consolidated the firm’s claims that the lawyers at Taylor Wessing are genuinely nice people.
I feel that the Scheme gave me a really good insight into the firm, which has allowed me to consider further my future career path. The people I spoke to at the firm were always very willing to discuss how I could proceed.
