The Role
I really enjoyed my placement, I was given responsibility to deliver several tasks across the year & I feel I have really managed to develop my skills and gain a lot of technical knowledge
I felt very valued by my colleagues. I always felt needed and important to the team. My manager would come to me with specific tasks and help he needed.
I was given a lot of support from the get go. Immediately as I joined I was put on a structured training plan to learn all the things needed for my role. I was also a given a "buddy" to help support me in my learning
I was very busy on a daily basis. I always had a lot of tasks that I could be working on. Even when I was less busy in terms of tasks, there was a lot of learning that I could occupy myself with
I was given a lot of responsibility on my placement just like any other team member. I was given control of my own projects which involved scoping & engaging with the right stakeholders for delivery of tasks
It helped me see the application of what I had been learning at University in industry. The placement has really helped grow my confidence. It has helped improved my skills in the use of Microsoft office programs and most importantly, it has helped to improve my prioritization & organizational skills
The Company
Very friendly. Everyone in the office is really nice and supportive. The office also has a very relaxed vibe even though everyone is on it with trying to deliver on all their tasks.
The placement was very well organized and set up. The placement had loads of training & development opportunities that came at suitable times. The placement also allowed for site visits & networking opportunities to help diversify your knowledge on the industry as a whole.
The firm really invested in us, there were several training sessions which cost the company a lot. Any site visits would be fully expensed for the cost of hotels and meals away.

The future prospects with the company are great. Once you do an industrial placement or internship with the company, if your performance is strong, you WILL get an offer with them on the graduate scheme afterwards
The Culture
Very good social scene if you want to get involved and you have a good bunch of people in your placement group.
The area is Warwick/Leamington spa area. The prices aren't too high compared to London prices but rent can be expensive. Socializing in Leamington Spa is good. There are a lot of pubs to go and have a few drinks with your friends
The Nightlife is alright. The pubs are very nice and there's quite some selection of pubs to go to. There are not many clubs around and the ones there are not great. If you want a good clubbing experience, you could go into Birmingham or London
You could get involved in several social clubs or sports clubs with people in the company. All you had to do was sign up to Corner Club. The activities were very cheap as well.
