The Role
I had a really good time during my internship at Savills and it even exceeded my high expectations. It is so nice to meet people from Savills to see how passionate they are about the company and that they work here because they are enjoying it rather just coming into work for the paycheck at the end of the month. I have honestly had a really good experience with great exposure and it is so well put together by the incredible HR Team.
I certainly felt valued by my colleagues especially the members of my team who i worked with every day as they were willing to sacrifice their valuable time in order to help and support me during my time at Savills. It is rare to see people at high levels in the company in such a big firm mixing with interships or giving time to talk to interns. However during my time at Savills i have spoken to Richard Rees the MD of Savills and he was very welcoming.
I was given a lot of support when needed during my internship at Savills. At the start of the internhsip i was given more support but now I can carry out the tasks without the support but i do know that there always people there if I needed the support.
throughout the internship I have been getting busier every day that goes by. but being busy is a good thing
My responsibility grew throughout my time with Savills but during the first week i was trusted to contact tenants directly and send headed letters to clients.
I would say that the internship has help give me confidence in areas of the industry which have not been taught at university but the internship has also enhanced what I have learnt at university. feel like I am going back to 3rd year with a reinforced tool set.
The Company
Very positive atmosphere with a family feel to it. It is like a second home
Very well put together thanks to the great HR team.
Offering up their time to teach me was a big form of investment
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Savills will be at the top of the list when applying to graduate schemes
The Culture
Yes there were several social events organised by the wider company as well as the events organised by HR and interns ourselves.
London is an expensive place to leave and I spent 500 pounds commuting each month commuting into the office as i wasn't going to spend the money on rent as it was too expensive
Great nightlife as it was in London but you have to be careful as it can get expensive very quickly
Yes certainly! I played cricket with Savills against clients aswell as a 10 mile rowing race and the Savills 5km run alongside the summer party.
