About You
I really enjoyed the insight into Taylor Wessing. It was well structured, everyone was generous with their time and took an interest in any questions we had. This ensured that we received a good insight into the range of work that the firm is involved in.
I felt valued during my time at Taylor Wessing. People were appreciative when I completed work for them and took an interest in my views and opinions. As a non-law student, I found the experience rewarding.
I received guidance and support during the insight from both my buddies and supervisors. They were happy to answer questions and offer advice. Moreover, at the beginning of our vacation scheme, we were told how we could access IT help which was useful.
I will carry the skills and information that I developed on the scheme forward. I left the scheme with a more comprehensive understanding of the law and the skills that solicitors require.
The Company
The vacation scheme was very well structured. There were information sessions led by each department and social events.
The atmosphere was welcoming throughout the two weeks and relaxed at the social events.
The firm invested in our personal training and development. We received two appraisals from our supervisor and were encouraged to seek feedback on work that we completed.
The vacation scheme provided me with an insight into the day-to-day activities of trainees. We were able to mix with all the trainees at a variety of events to gain a better understanding of the work that they do.
We had many opportunities to meet with a range of people from across the firm thus providing us with a insight into the company culture.
I really enjoyed the vacation scheme and so it confirmed that I would like to pursue a legal career.
Everything Else
The department-run sessions and social events provided great opportunities to network with other employees.
The networking events were well run and had a relaxed atmosphere.
Other than Taylor Wessing's pro bono activities, I learnt about the activities that employees get involved in outside of work by asking individuals.
Yes - the vacation scheme provided me with a great insight into Taylor Wessing and a legal career.
