About You
I enjoyed the insight very much. I had the opportunity to garner a nuanced understanding of the firm, its culture, ethos, and work. I was also able to meet numerous people and make lasting connections. The social activities put on by the firm were also highly enjoyable.
We were made to feel important at the firm. Everyone was aware that we were there and made a positive effort to interact with us. Everyone was more than willing to sit and chat with us. This was highly appreciated. This statement is true for all levels. I would say I felt very welcome.
We had weekly appraisals from our supervisors, and of course, they provided us with feedback as and when we submitted work. The level of feedback was therefore good. As with any firm, it was important to ask and take the initiative. In any case, the feedback was constructive and helpful.
The skills I picked up and refined will help me to a great extent in the future. Law is all about experience and I was able to get plenty of experience at Taylor Wessing. The cases I was involved in, the research I undertook all form part of this experience building process.
The Company
The scheme was very well structured. Every day was planned out for us and we never felt clueless. There were various events organised throughout the scheme and all of them were arranged with our needs in mind. The HR team did a fantastic job at ensuring that our programme was structured.
The general atmosphere was very positive and friendly. Everyone at the office as I stated before was genuinely pleased to interact with is and we were made to feel welcome. The other vacation schemers were also very friendly and we formed strong bonds with each other. The general atmosphere was thus very positive.
The firm invested a great deal in us. We were carefully overseen by our supervisors and regular events were organised in which we were able to hone our skills. In the two weeks that were available the firm did all that it could to help us grow our skills.
