The Role
I wanted a problem solving job, and a job with freedom, a job with tasks that were challenging that helped me develope. This placement was just that.
I was treated like family. Supported when ever needed.
I was supported very well if i ever needed to be. Eg. balancing work and home life. This is something I had never experianced before.
Very Busy - but loved it. Alot of target driven work e.g. if it wasn't done shipment wouldn't occur.
I did all day to day tasks 'normal' employees did and i did large scale projects but not 'capital projects'.
The skills i learned were above and beyoned anything University could offer. Extream time management, brill comunication skills, dealing with differing opionions and it was 'real peoples lifes the job was effecting'.
The Company
Was organised but easy going most of the time.
I performed jobs that were there to be done - real life not really set up for you things just needed doing so I was given them to do. I always had work to do though.
The job it self developed me. I was however given responsibilities to train others etc and trained to do that.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
i currenly work with them.
The Culture
Yes there are other interns hired and we did go out together a fair few times.
North East of England so fairly cheap.
Newcastle: Party Capital of the UK in my opionion.
Yes i did conservation and we have a sports and social club.
