The Role
Other people on the program and the analysts were all amazing to work with and get to know.
From day one was given live projects and deals to work on.
My team and my buddy would always take time to explain things and was always willing to help if I didn't understand something.
Always had a new task. When I had finished a big project, I would have maybe an hour max before a new big task hit the desk. Lots of late nights
Involved in producing client decks and basic comps models. Would always be checked by my analyst.
Not as much for my degree but more for a career in Finance. The accounting, excel and power point skills are key.
The Company
Motivated and driven. Team were friendly.
Very organised, the first week was training and was very well organised alongside the social events and speaker events.
So much, I cant even begin to guess how much they spent on having all the interns
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Leading organisation and the investment they put into each of us definitely sold me to the firm and the culture.
The Culture
Tried to but in the CIB investment banking area the hours were pretty rough. The markets guys had more of a social.
I lived at home but London is expensive generally, so pricey.
Lots of clubs but pricey on weekend. Was pretty tired at the weekends so often just went to a bar
Signed up to the staff football 5 a side, and there was a charity fun run the other week but I missed the sign up.
