    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • The insight was enjoyable as I got to meet like minded enthusiastic students. We got a good wholistic understanding of the business whilst also gaining a greater insight into the day to day workings of an employee. This was done through a day of shadowing a team within the service line we were interested in

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Everyone we met was keen to impress and was very enthusiastic which gave us a feeling that they wanted us to join the firm

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • The guest speakers from the firm as well as the recruiters that organised the event, gave us a lot of advice on the process and tips for success which made us feel a lot more confident when it came to the assessment day. Moreover, the shadowing opportunity allowed us to ask recent grads as well as senior staff for advice

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Because it was a programme for final years and recent graduates, it has limited scope to impact our degrees however beyond that, it is definitely useful because we have a greater understanding of both the services and culture of the business we are going to join. This should ease the transition process into work

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We had a few skills workshops to help with things like networking skills and other soft skills. In addition we had a professional judgement activity which further enhanced our critical thinking skills

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • It was very insightful because we had the opportunity to work shadow which besides an internship, is the most accurate depiction of how a full time role would be like

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • We had the opportunity to get a feel for the culture through the work shadowing, as well as through an array of talks from people that worked in different parts of the business with different levels of experience

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • It was very useful as you could ask first hand, any questions you had about your service line. Also, the work shadowing gave us a feel of the type of work we would be doing if we were to join the firm
