The Role
-Really nice environment and colleagues. -Interesting tasks, welcoming environment. -Many possibilities to learn. -Lots of networking event. -Good work balance to be in Banking.
Assigned responsibilities from day 1. Obviously the least interesting tasks are assigned to interns, but if you prove reliable the tasks grow in importance.
Really willing to explain the job, from the smallest things to the most strategic ones. Everyone is welcoming, no one is bothered if you have questions, instead they push for questions and clarifications.
Pretty busy, not extremely. Time to reason about the things you are doing, the workload is reasonable as an intern, not crazy.
Increasing responsibilities. At the start of the internship you are assigned to the most dull tasks, if you prove reliable you can do more rewarding things.
Training was very useful in my opinion, it was a good occasion to refresh some concepts studied at school. The training week was also important to get used to the programs used in the Bank.
The Company
Really welcoming and pleasant. Not stressful, everyone is ready to help if you have queries.
Really organised, I would say maniacally organised. Plenty of occasions to do questions regarding everything.
A lot. 1 week of training and a lot of seminars about career development.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Very appealing. The firm is growing and it is a leading organisation.
The Culture
Plenty of time to know a lot of people in various occasions.
London is expensive, but Canary Wharf is not the most expensive part.
Basic. Lot of pubs and restaurants but Nightlife not present.
Plenty of occasions. Networking events and induction week were the perfect way to start the internship.
