The Role
The work placement was great. I learnt a huge amount over the 6 months.
Very valued, the team was great.
very supportive. I was assigned a buddy from day 1, and the other analysts were very helpful
90% of the time I was flat out busy, especially so when working on live transactions
as the placement progresses I was given a increasing amount of responsibility
Very much so. I built upon my attention to details. A focus on accounting and financial modelling will also aid my degree
The Company
very good - people worked hard but was also very socialable
very well organised, I had a manager a buddy as well as a mentor
we had training once every 2 weeks. this was in a variety of financial training
Healthcare from home
very appealing. the firm is huge with a an enormous array of career prospects
The Culture
yes very much so. We had a team winter and summer event as well as drinks some weekends
Canary wharf is pretty expensive. But not too dissimilar to the rest of London.
I did not go out much so could not comment
there were a few volunteering opportunities, as well as a few community days
