The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship and learnt a great deal
I felt greatly valued by my colleagues and there was always work that they were willing to assign me
I was given a huge amount of support whenever I required it- I felt I could ask any questions I had
I always had assignments to be getting on with, but never so much work that I felt like I could not cope.
I was given a lot of responsibility, which definitely helped with learning as much information as I did during the placement
I hope that I will pursue a degree in finance, in which this internship will prove invaluable. My degree is not at all finance related so that will not apply as much.
The Company
Everyone had a really positive relationship with eachother that made you feel at ease both within and outside of the workplace.
Very well set up so that you constantly were staffed on a project and you knew you could always speak to people if you wanted to try working within a different division of your team.
People from within my team spent a huge amount of time explaining the tasks I had been placed on, and answering any questions I had. There were also multiple training sessions for interns.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I would really love the opportunity to work within Citi in the future.
The Culture
Events were organised within interns who were on the internship, and also intern events were organised by the Recruitment Team at Citi.
As Citi is in London, the accommodation is more expensive but I knew that starting the internship.
Bars were always open when we left work so there was a nice atmosphere to get involved in and offered opportunities to socialise with other interns.
There were many team days organised by the Recruitment Team and lots of events such as a 'Community Day' that we could all get involved in.
