The Role
A lot of learning opportunities to learn and attend a wide variety of lectures to help you understand the bank quickly.
I had two managers, but they seemed to be very busy so I had to find work and ask other colleagues for advice
My managers would give me support but because they were travelling a lot, I couldn't see them that much
Sometimes I had to find my own work while other times, other colleagues would give me other work turning to a really busy day
I had my own project for the short time that I was there and it was relatively easy, the importance of the project was medium, it's sometime they wanted to do but never got round to doing it.
The experience and simply being there is a excellent experience of getting an insight into the industry
The Company
I was in Sales, therefore most colleagues would be travelling, however general office atmosphere was good. People did their own thing at lunch.
Almost every other day, there was an organised lecture about another function that we could attend.
Lots of senior people that you could speak to and lots of time to have one-one conversation with.
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
They did hire numerous candidates
The Culture
Yes, there were weekly drinks and biweekly drinks organised by the bank
London is expensive but there are some cheap places just outside of Canary wharf
It's far away from nightlife but there are a lot of pubs around
Weekly pub events.
