The Role
I enjoyed a lot the second part on my period in NTAS, my second position.
In the second part on the placement I felt valued, as the team gave me control over a project that I was running on my own.
Both my managers were supportive, answering my questions every time
there were busy days, and not so busy ones. the first placement was relaxed, I only had 2 big tasks so I could share my time from the beginning. the second placement was more dynamic, so sometimes I would take extra tasks and by busy (which was good). in the first placement I would have like to have a more dynamic work, it was all repetitive.
not much in the first placement, since i only did some analysis on data. in the second placement was much better, as i had to validate systems/build and it felt like a big responsibility
it will definitely offer me a better general understanding of the aviation world.
The Company
first placement - it felt strict, some people contently looking over the shoulders of others. it didn't really apply to me, but the atmosphere in the office was like that second placement - I felt very well included in the office, always talking very openly with my manager and the rest of the colleagues. atmosphere were relaxed and everyone was responsible for how they use their time
both placements were ready to receive me. I got clear tasks and support
I attended trainings

The Culture
we met from time to time, even worked on the same projects with some DEGs.
i choose to live in one of the close cities, living costs being around 400£ month. as for the socialising, i started going to dancing classes, which were not expensive either.
I live in a city full of students (Portsmouth), so many things to do.
yes - I did latin dance classes, kayaking, pedalboarding, many BBQs
