The Role
Very diverse experience!
I learned a lot and I was given a chance to contribute.
Sufficient support was given by my manager.
Varied between extremely busy to having nothing to do all day when waiting for some feedback/approvals to come through.
I had a feeling the team trusted me and relied on me with work that HAD to be delivered.
The data science skills are make my technical progress very valuable. I believe this experience was the reality of data science vs the perfect artificial problem environment at university. This experience will enable me to be more independent in ML research in future.
The Company
Positive
Could have been better organised.
The company values the personal development for the interns and allows exploration and resource support.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Working from home
Some roles are really challenging and interesting. So, it depends on the role.
The Culture
Besides having no socials organised by the company, the interns made efforts for weekly socials and daily lunches. The community was positive and friendly.
It's London.
Pubs, pubs, more pubs
Definitely. You just need to find them.
