The Role
I have enjoyed it so far. It's based locally and great people work here. The other interns are great and we have had lots of activities and experiences together.
I feel very valued. I have been welcomed with open arms into the team.
At first it was difficult as my manager is based in Poole. As time went on I became more confident in just being able to pick up the phone and give him a call. Also I had a buddy which helped massively.
At first not busy at all, but I think that was my fault as I didn't fully understand what my project was. As soon as I got an understanding things kicked off.
Not much responsibly in terms of the teams processes. My work was very much so mapping a process and highlighting any opportunities for automation improvement.
Developed my communication skills, team skills, problem solving skills, analytical skills. All helpful towards my studies and beyond.
The Company
Friendly but professional. People had a job to do.
Very organised. Number of events arranged for interns and support in place.
They invested a lot of time and effort in me. With physical and online training
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing. I want a career in banking/financial services and I feel like Barclays is a good company for me to pursue a successful career.
The Culture
Yes there was. Drinks, people trying to organise fives, it was a good group.
Reasonable. I live and work in Glasgow so I don't know any different.
Glasgow is a good laugh. The city is great.
Yes plenty
