    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Financial Controlling within Faurecia was excellent, I have been exposed to new avenues of Finance that previously never knew existed. I now have direction in my future and have had the ability to see where my transferable skills from previous employment have worked best in a corporate environment.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt apart of a team very soon into my placement role. Advice would be to be involved and learn to be an approachable member of a team so you feel comfortable in your role but also your team are confident in delegating more important tasks. I was involved in all discussions making me feel apart of a team from the beginning.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • support and guidance is always on offer, whenever I had queries regarding tasks I was trained in a professional way which was always a good standard of support.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • From 8am until the end of the day 4:45pm I was constantly busy with work. I have never been bored and without work which is a positive aspect as showing growth and confidence, I became in charge of more tasks.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • My responsibility almost instantly in my role was high. My team was one member down meaning 4 persons work load was shared between 3 which was positive as I could take charge of more tasks and show confidence in tasks beyond a placement student.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • My placement year has provided me with an indepth view of the real world of finance in industry and this allows me to have more evaluative points for my finance side of the course. being trained and now very proficient in SAP and Excel, this is very transferable and no doubt will play a large part of my future career.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Calm, work - friendly atmosphere perfect to manage own tasks and meet deadlines.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • the structure of the placement organization is very good as it begins with a welcome workshop and finishes with a celebratory workshop giving students a good timeline for the year ahead and activities to be faced with along the way.

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I had the ability to travel to Braganza with thanks to my manager placing me in charge of costing. this was a perfect opportunity to learn a different culture in a new environment and country. Therefore I believe my manager and team invested in my progression highly.
