    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Really enjoyed learning about the different areas and job opportunities in a pharmaceutical industry. Learnt a lot, and was able to put my university learning into practice.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Fairly busy, however you got out as much as you put in. There was always work to be done, and I never had a day were I was left to do nothing.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Responsibility for your own chemistry and work. They allowed you to choose the chemistry you wanted to do, which was challenging but also rewarding. In terms of the project as a whole less responsibility was expected.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Learnt skills that would help with future work in chemistry, and also provided context to the work I have done at university. I learnt a lot about working in a large organisation and 'soft' skills like presentations and contributing to team meetings.
