The Role
Everyone I have met (no matter what position they hold) has been very friendly and supportive which has made the experience enjoyable. I have always been kept busy so it has never been boring and I have had the chance to work on big clients which has been very interesting.
My colleagues have been very helpful and friendly. I have been given tasks and included in team progress updates which has made me feel valued. There have been times where my team members have praised work I have done which has also been nice.
I was given plenty of support with my work. I was assigned a buddy who I felt comfortable asking any questions to. I was also able to report my progress to my manager who was happy to help me when I needed further clarification or further work to complete.
I am happy with the level of work I have been given so far. I am always kept occupied and upon finishing a task, I am given another to do. I have been quite busy with work tasks which has meant that I haven't had much time to do admin/training as I would have liked.
I have been given appropriate responsibilities and coaching before I undertake these to make sure I am prepared for the job. I have been given appropriate work for a person with no prior accounting experience/knowledge.
I have learned a lot in my time here so far. I have learned how to be more productive and efficient with my time (e.g. prioritising the most important tasks) which will undoubtedly help me with university and beyond.
The Company
The office has been very friendly and welcoming. I have lunch with my team everyday which is a good chance to socialise. Everyone is always ready to help me where needed.
I have been very happy with the organisation of the scheme. The training and induction ran very smoothly. I was booked on client sites very quickly and put in contact with team members before this. I was given tasks on arrival and have never felt as if I have had nothing to do.
The induction and first day at the office was where most of my training took place. Most of it was online so I have been able to be quite flexible with completing it. However, I would have liked to have had one extra day to use to complete the training as I did not have time during these two days and was booked on client sites immediately after which meant completing my training had to take a backseat.

National Travel
The organisation offers a lot of perks to new graduates and appears to invest a lot in its employees which makes a job very appealing. There is a lot of option for progression and you get the chance to learn and develop your skills.
The Culture
I worked in a smaller office so there was only one other intern along with myself. I was also not put on projects with this intern so didn't have much chance to speak to him through my time here. It would have been nice if we could have done a bit more together e.g. work on a project together or be in the office together more
The cost of living and socialising is quite expensive. In terms of the organisation, they cover some expenses within work such as lunch. However, socialising outside of work and particularly using public transport can get quite expensive.
I have not yet had a chance to experience the nightlife.
I was invited to socials and sport socials outside of work so I definitely had opportunities to get involved. Because it is a smaller office, perhaps not as much as some others would.
