The Role
The people were really good, but the work that i was given wasn't to do with my degree, and the amount of work was minimal.
I feel they did value my work, but I feel the recruitment team didn't value me when presenting my work.
I didn't see my manager much, and only had one meeting with him during my time.
Some days i was fairly busy, but on the whole, the work was minimal.
I don't feel I was given any responsibility, nothing I was doing contributed to the running of plant.
I feel that i haven't developed too many skills, but this could be due to the shortness of my placement.
The Company
The atmosphere in my office was a very fun and sociable one, and I enjoyed the company of the people in the office.
The first week was an introductory week, and this was good to have. and on he whole the organisation was good.
I have been on a gas awareness course, but this was needed in order to go on site, except for that, I did not receive any other training.
I maybe would like to come back, but possibly work in a different department.
The Culture
The other placement students were great to be around, and having lunch with them, and we were able to go on nights out together which was great.
Cost of living was relatively low, and so was the socializing.
Nightlife was good in Cardiff. We didn't go to Swansea
There were chances to get into activities, like the cricket and rounders.
