The Role
From my experience so far, I really feel that the internship holds a high standard. From everything to the administration, training, staffing, feedback / review sessions, events, mentorship / buddies etc. Moreover, I have learnt a lot - being exposed to a dynamic industry in a prominent bank and being surrounded by / getting to learn from some of the most competent people in the industry.
The colleagues makes sure to let me know when they think I have done something well.
My staffer is very good at providing guidance. The majority of the colleagues I have been working with are also clear with expectations and provide clear guidance.
The workload varies quite heavily - however I think my manager / staffer is doing an excellent job in keeping my workload on a balanced level and I also make sure to let him know if I feel like I am overstaffed or have extra capacity.
I really feel that I am given an increasing amount of responsibility as I develop and as my colleagues get a better feeling of my abilities.
Since I am studying a MSc in Finance, I get good use of all the things I have learnt in my studied so far. I am also confident that the work will benefit me when returning to University to complete my studies this fall. Furthermore, I think that the training we received before the start provided a good recap prior to starting working.
