The Role
I really enjoyed the work I completed. There was a lot of responsibility & I was challenged every day, but there was also a good support network.
The recognition culture at Intel is really good. You are doing work of real value, so it's natural that if you do a good job, you get recognition for that.
Support network at Intel is really good. If you ask for help you will get it, but you're also left alone when you need to own something.
In my role I was busy most days due to the nature of it, but there were opportunities to increase workload efficiency so I was able to reduce my normal workload after a while. I could then use this extra bandwidth to pick up other responsibilities.
At Intel you are treated as a full time employee when it comes to responsibility, but there's still a support network when you need it.
I have learned a lot of good transferrable skills, but a lot of what I learned at Intel was industry specific.
The Company
Great - I loved my team. There's a great social life at Intel.
Very good. Due to the number of placements that they take, there is a good structure.
Every day was a learning experience, and due to the good handover structure there were a number of good trainings to get you up to speed
Flexi Time

After my placement I am hoping to go back to Intel
The Culture
Yes - over 40 interns on site means that it's like uni away from uni
Pretty good - for the south of England my rent was low
Not great - it's not a uni town so going out was less student oriented
Yes - plenty of things to get involved in. eg. sports
