The Role
Had a really great time. Very structured programme and learnt so much. Met lots of people from different teams and really got to know all Markets had to offer.
Majority of people are really friendly and will take the time to chat to you and explain things. Obviously the nature of Markets is very busy so sometimes its difficult to feel like you're making a real contribution.
Supervisors seem to have been running the internship for years so you feel as though you are in good hands. I would say that the contact you have with them varies from team to team.
There's always something that you can occupy yourself with - the reading is endless! The programme really does try and encourage your team to give you meaningful work/projects.
When you build trust with your team they can assign additional smaller tasks to you but I think its important to just do well at what you can in the scope of the internship.
The social and interpersonal skills gained are invaluable. The work ethic that I've managed to cultivate will definitely help with my studies going back to university.
The Company
Loud, fun bubbly. Markets so it's constantly busy and takes a bit of getting used too. But generally everyone is up for a laugh and fun.
