About You
I enjoyed it a lot as all the different speakers that came in were extremely helpful and answered all questions to the best of their ability which was nice to see and to get an insight on what kind of work they do in their day to day life and their work load.
I felt valued throughout the time there but only during the networking lunch session I am quite a shy person therefore found it difficult to go up to people and ask questions therefore maybe would have been nice if some people came up to me help me feel a bit more confident in asking questions and networking.
Through out the day guidance was very good and everything was done to the best of their ability. If any body was unsure about anything all the staff were easy to approach and ask any questions. Maybe to improve if there could be any one to one sessions or grouped sessions it would have helped me open up and ask more question.
I think the information I received was extremely helpful and something I can write about in my personal statement however I think it would have less of an impact on the degree but more boost my career prospects post uni as it would add to my cv and potentially help me get into insight weeks rather than help me get into uni.
The Company
The structure was very thought out and precise making it easy to follow the timetable and each session flowed in from the previous one adding different information to each. One improvement would be that maybe structure the sessions to be longer as we ran through most of them and ended up finishing 45 mins later than what the email said at the end of the day.
The atmosphere was very cheerful and everyone looked happy to help. Especially during the tours the employees were really helpful and happy to answer any questions we had. The atmosphere was very nice to see as everyone was comfortable with their jobs and always got on with their tasks which is how a professional work place should look like.
The day was for more of an insight into the whole company instead of investing in us personally. As everyhting was more broad rather than personally tailored to one.
Having gone on the tours I think this was a very good insight day compared to others iv been to. I understand the way it would work if I had to work their full time and gave me a good insight into the bank.
Very much as a lot of the day was based around the JEMS idea and what the bank is trying to do culturally now, which helped a lot and also with tours having gone around and seen how the culture is was very helpful
I decided previous to this but definitely added more on to it.
Everything Else
Which was fine as travel costs weren’t too expensive.
A lot of people from various different sectors were present all at different stages in their career.

I found out about the university insight weeks and how this can help in securing jobs through the graduate scheme in the future.
Overall very good and helpful
