  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Absolutely loved the networking session as talking with interns really helped my understanding of how to access the firm and what it is like to work there from a holistically.

    • Everyone was really friendly and welcoming.

    • A great insight into the process of accessing the firm to secure a full time job.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • All the sessions were very useful. Only downside is some were a bit rushed because others went overtime.

    • It was great to see people who were determined to help us.

    • Gave us great knowledge for our future career choices.

    • The tour was really helpful as I could see the different departments and how they work at the office. It would’ve been great to have someone explain what a typical day is like for them e.g. meetings and client calls.

    • I could see how much the company values and supports diversity and inclusion.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • It was a half day experience and no expenses were paid.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • There was a networking session but I felt there was not enough time to talk to everyone so I could only speak with interns rather than employees.

    • Fantastic! Only downside is I had too much to ask in the time we were given for the session.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

    • Had a great tour of the gym and swimming pool but would’ve liked to see if there are any opportunities for giving back to the community.

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?

    • It is definitely a great opportunity to find out more about financial services and the atmosphere of working at a smaller firm. It is also a good way to widen your network as you will become more familiar with the workers as well as the building. It will also help with deciding what career path to take.
